Can you spy, with your little eyes,Some things from our family's past year?
A toy plane represents our cross-country trip
And a coaster our visit to Mt. Rainier.
Lots of small clues show the things that we like:
Find Katy in a beach chair and Jim up on his bike.
There are girls in a bike trailer, a pencil from first grade,
Simba from Broadway's "The Lion King,"
And a special mermaid.
A seahorse light from the Tacoma Zoo,
Knitting needles, Friendly's crayon, and Scooby-Doo.
Now look again and you might see
A small gap where a tooth should be!
Bunk beds for big girls; rockin' crocodiles;
Dance recitals and happy smiles.
As the light in our chalice shines bright and true,
We send the happiest of holiday wishes to you.
