Dear Afghan Square,
I'm sorry I called you stupid. Once I got to know you a little, I realized that you weren't stupid at all, you were just a little, um...boring. But in a good way, you know? Like Campbell's tomato soup: soothing, but predictable. It's not your fault that my life is so nutty that it took me ten days to finish a square foot of knitting. It's not your fault that you are not my favorite color, and that my other projects are more interesting (or, rather, they would be more interesting if I could ever find time to work on them). So I forgive you, and I send you on your way with genuine good wishes. I hope that your new owner is kind to you, and that the other squares keep you in stitches.
Fondly,
Me
